So, I'm off to my own place! Anyone in the Austin Area Friday, July 11th (5:30pm to 7:30pm) should drop by for a little moving gathering. I'm loading up a moving truck and hoping to make one trip. Any suggestions from participants would be appreciated. Thanks!

I hate Tonsils!

So, anyone in the Austin area the week of April 28th, I'm going to need some help. I'll be getting my tonsils out and can't do much for myself. In essence, I need a babysitter that week! My mom will be in a few days and my sis can come after school, but during the day I will need some one to be there just in case. They say it can take up to two weeks to recover, but I'm shooting for one. Anyone have their's out recently or know of anyone? I'm tryting to gage just how bad it might be at 28!

Benefit Concert for Floyd Moore at Antone's

So, over the past few months my cousin Lynn was fighting cancer in Port Arthur, TX. He lost the battle a few days ago and Antone's, a blues venue in Austin, TX, is throwing his family a benefit concert to cover medical expenses. Jimmy Vaughan and other artists are headlining, so check out www.antones.net for Sunday, February 17th at 7pm if interested. Floyd(Lynn) was a local blues musician in the Austin area for over twenty years and this is a celebration of his life!

My Inner Firefighter

So, it's about 11:55pm New Years Eve and I'm bundled up on my friend's porch out in the country watching the fireworks. All of the sudden a firework blows up on the ground torching the field we're sitting next too. I haul it (as most of you know I don't usually run) to the middle of the fire and grab some flower pots to fill with water. For the next 10 minutes, we battle the flames drenching ourselves as much as the fire. A little smoke inhalation later and the blaze was out. It was a Happy New Year after all!
