Help Wanted (Inquire Within)

Here's my problem. I'm a Computer Consultant and I travel around the US and some overseas working with our customers. There is the core work that I do, and then there are a ton of extras that have to be done in order to do the core work (make travel arrangements, travel to customer site, manage expense reimbursement, etc). I'm able to manage everything except for the expense reimbursement. Whereas it's not too challenging of a process... I hate counting beans. I would rather watch paint dry. After traveling and working all week when I would really like to find something more spiritually productive in my off hours.So...I'm looking to hire a little help. I figure it's a cost of doing business that I'll have to pay out of pocket. I've never hired anyone before but I can't see it being all that much trouble. With my utter loathing of this task I tend to take too much time doing it because I need a "break" every 5 minutes. I really can't see it going more than 20hrs a month at...

Toronto

Anyone want to go to Toronto? Say like, this weekend? :D We have some emergency work needing to be done and my thanksgiving plans were a bit up in the air so I'm thinking of just turning it into a nice long vacation afterwards. :) I've never been to Canada so it's a good opportunity and I just happened to notice there are some ski resorts an hour away. I sense much fun coming this week. After Canada, O-H-I-O! Maybe I'll see Drew Carey :)

Done with my work!

Sorry if I've been a bit unresponsive to some of your emails. Internet and free time have been quite sparse these past couple of weeks. Oh the things I take for granted in my land of luxury. I wish I had kept an actual journal. My time in England is drawing to a close very shortly but the experience has been quite wonderful despite its challenges. The week before I was to leave a bit of a bomb was dropped on me. It seems I was not only going to be leading the most aggressive install schedule that we have ever had to do with the highest level of visibility in our company that can be had, but doing so in a country I had never navigated before while taking care of the VP of the customer's Advanced Engineering dept who decided to come along at the last minute from the U.S. to micromanage the install and who just so happens to be handicapped and wheelchair bound. Now you who know me personally hopefully know that I've got a kind heart and will do anything for anyone in real need. My bigg...

a box, some soap, and big dash of recession

i'm not so certain that a recession is a bad thing. suffering historically has opportunity to promote repentance does it not? true, who would want to have their hard work valued at a certain level one day only to wake up and find it devalued the next but we are far too materialistic a society in my humble opinion. we as a nation have set ourselves up for trouble basing our social value and individual happiness on our lives of luxury. now as we find that abundance being in question our lives are quickly filled with a sense fear and dread. i read an article tonight linking an increase in violent deaths to the current state of our economy. that being true or not only the perpetrators of those acts would know but i most certainly would not immediately disregard the possibility. ultimately if suffering will promote a measure of godliness in this world then i for one am willing to do without some extras in order to promote what will in the end be a far better quality for our existence. g...
