Recipe and shopping list posted first thing in the morning. Lemon bread is the recipe. It's a quick bread... I doubt you're going to need anything other than lemons. Yes, real ones, not just the juice thing.

You know what... I don't like Oprah but I watch her show sometimes because it's the only thing on. I watched part of her show a few weeks ago about the prop that was trying to get and is now passed in California about making more of the livestock free range and making the cages for chickens bigger. Which sounds like a wonderful thing! They should be in bigger cages so they can roam and be happy until they meet their untimely doom of being in my crock pot simmering with some spices. It was passed this week which means they will be getting bigger cages, more animals will be free range, and the prices of our groceries will skyrocket again. Do you all realize how much of our milk comes from California? It's first in the country in milk and cheese production. Not to mention the chicken farmers who will go bankrupt from having to change the thousands of cages and if they don't do it by a certain date they will be fined like crazy. Maybe this will be the wake up call we need with grocer...

go read my husbands blog :) He doesn't post very often. -----So part of my 30 things to do before I turn 30 list that I made on my 29th birthday is to cook with 10 different mediums than what I normally cook with. I have used Tofu before, but not silken. I decided that since Wal Mart had their asparagus on sale for 1.99 a pound that I would make a tofu scramble for breakfast this morning with a little feta and goat. Thus knocking out 2 of the 10 mediums because I've never even tried goat cheese before today. It's not bad. Smelly... but most cheese is, which is why I don't normally smell it but someone told me it was a smelly cheese so I decided in my infinite wisdom to smell it and then almost gag and not try any of it. It tastes wonderful and its MUCH lower in fat than most cow cheeses. Thankfully my husband is not home right now or he would be saying things like "OH MY WORD THAT SMELLS SO BAD!"It tastes ok but the tofu is a custard texture and I usually like my scr...

Life is moving on. Whether we like the leader elect or not, we woke up this morning, life went on. And it will, as long as the Lord allows. I do find it interesting that those who bash Bush are telling us we have to respect Obama. Shouldn't it be both? That was my final political statement. -----I love the smell of ginger, garlic, and bok choy sauteing in a pan. What is a smell you love?

Ecc 7:8-11"The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools. Do not say, “ Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. Wisdom is good with an inheritance, And profitable to those who see the sun."Romans 13" Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does ...

In His image God created you,In new birth He gave you life anew,His precious blood you now proclaim,You must live to glorify His name. Christian remember who you are today,As you follow Him along the way,Though the way seems dark and the journey far,Stength comes when you remember who you are. You were bought at such an awful price,Redeemed by the precious blood of Christ,Humbly obedient free from sin,Peace and hope and joy and love within.Christian remember who you are today, As you follow him along the way,Though the way seems dark and the journey far,Strength comes when you remember who you are.

But truthfully, I'm done with politics for now, especially since polls are beginning to close. Ours close in an hour and we voted this morning so I feel like we've done what we can do and now we all we do is pray and wait. -----I didn't do TWD today because my husband was home all day and fasted today, he knew a few other people who were doing that and decided to do that today as well. He's fasting until sundown, so he can eat any time now. He's getting pretty hungry, but I am so proud of him. He also fixed our shower today, it's been dripping for a while and has recently gotten much worse. And after fighting with it for almost 2 days now, it's finally fixed. He's such a great husband :)I joined another baking/cooking group today. It's called "My Kitchen, My World" it's an international cuisine blog. This week is Ireland. I'm pretty excited about it :) This blog only gives you the country and you have to find your own recipes and then post the pictures of what you did...

Abortion upsets me. Makes me absolutely sick to my stomach and angry. To be graphic for a minute, I know what they look like after they've been aborted. I've seen videos, pictures, heard stories, even had a couple friends in High School who ended up having one and regretting it later because when they were married and were trying to get pregnant, couldn't because of the damage done to their uterus. They both regret it to this day. I went to FC with girls who had abortions. Members of the Church, who would rather have an abortion and tell their parents that, than carry the child and live with the shame because they knew their parents wouldn't let them give the child up for adoption, even though they knew they would be better off with someone who loved them. I have a friend who was raped and became pregnant because of it, her daughter is 12 years old now, perfectly healthy, looks just like her Momma and though to her mother she is a constant reminder, the girl will never know. I hav...
