All Moved In

Well we are officially moved in! We got everything moved on Friday. We decided to rent a little longer before taking the plunge into purchasing a home. I want to get settled in my job more and save some more money by living closer. Just an FYI, apartments prices are ridiculous! Most of the two bedrooms would have cost the same as the payment (principal & interest, HOA dues, insurance, and flood insurance) would have been on the home we were thinking about purchasing in Tomball. We did find a nice apartment complex and got a two bedroom for the same price as our one bedroom in Rosenberg, but there is one catch, they only had apartments available on the third floor. We didn't think it would be that bad, but let's just say after Friday, NEVER EVER again! At the end of the day, I was absolutely exhausted. For the most part it was just Carissa, my sister-in-law, and me moving everything up 40 stairs. My father-in-law was able to help us finish that night once he got off work...

Cheyenne Abigail Mooney

Praise the Lord, for He IS truely good! Carissa delivered a beautiful and healthy baby girl yesterday. She entered this world at 8lbs and 12oz., 21 inches long with huge hands and feet! I will post pictures as soon as I can, but let me caution you, you will instantly fall in love with her upon sight. Now that you know, don't act suprised when you do!God is gracious! I must say, you will be hard pressed to find a stronger woman than Carissa. She had this baby without an epidural(?) and didn't utter one complaint. She was at 8cm and the most you heard about it was, "Oh it's a cramping some." The nurses and doctors were suprised at how well she did. She did not have any pain until the the doctor broke her water at 8cm. I am so proud of her and if there was a way I could show off how well she did, I would. I am SO proud of her. God IS Love! I was blessed in the seeing the birth of little Cheyenne. At first, I was thinking it would be gross, but that could n...

Names

Picking baby names is difficult, especially when you have a fickle wife! :-) We pick a name, then later it's a no. Happened about three times. Why is it so hard you may ask?First you have to pick a first name and then decide on a spelling. It's hard enough to pick the first, and then you have to decide on a middle name that you like, goes well with the other two names, pick a spelling you like for the middle name, and then, as Carissa says, make sure the three names look "pretty" together! HAHAThat's all I have for now.

My Ever So Exciting Life

Well I thought I would blog about two things that happened in the world of Jason today. When I woke up this afternoon, Carissa and me decided to take about a 30 minute walk. We got the stroller out, got Catilyn ready, put Jersey on her leash, grabbed some water, and headed out the door. For those of you that do not know, Catilyn is the four month old that Carissa babysits and Jersey is our 6 month old miniature schnauzer. Anyway, back to the story. It was about 2:30, and since it is August in Texas, it was about 5,000,000 degrees outside. That's fahrenheit by the way. Jersey is not completely trained on the leash yet and still tends to pull a lot. We have had her for about two months so we are still working on it. About 10 minutes into the walk, she is panting like crazy, is probably really hot, and she is tired. We get the bowl out and pour her some water. She starts to drink it standing. Well, she was too tired for that so she sits and continues to drink. Of course sitti...

Craziness

I went to grab something to eat for my lunch, or for most, supper break and they have gas for $2.18!! Cars are everywhere along with news crews and police. Apparantly the Chevron had a grand opening and had "cheap" gas at $3.30 or something and the Shell went lower and ever since, they have been in a battle. The Chevron has a digital board and when they changed from $2.19 to $2.18, Shell had two guys posted outside to change their boards. I wish I could have gotten in and filled up my tank.Kroger was at $3.23 so I'll check back with them around midnight and see if I can get gas for a cheaper price than normal.
