As a stopgap measure, I temporarily removed all blog entries and comments that were older than a year; I kept an archive copy of these and will be re-adding them to the new version, but for now I removed them to hopefully keep the site alive until I have time. I'm very sorry for that, but it should only be for a few weeks and should hopefully significantly speed things up during peak usage. I know some of the groups, like the recipe groups especially, could benefit from rooms so they could for example have one room labeled Desserts and have a link to all the posts people listed with desserts, a room for Chicken, and so on. . Or like the photography group, a room where we could list helpful posts, instead of making tons of links on the side, they would be organized in categories. It would make the groups more organized. Just a thought! Keep up the great work, we very much appreciate it!  kris I am having an issue, maybe it's due to the current temporary measures, anytime I click add friend, it never adds them to my list. I have been looking into gold, and maybe that will fix the problem, but until I can do that, I is there a way to fix/troubleshoot this current problem? On Galleries, not only would it be nice to rearange by drag and drop (as well as links, friends etc) instead of clicking the little arrows, but I was thinking like a bulk upload of pictures, maybe java enabled or something, I don't know, but something that lets you upload more than 3 at a time. As a photographer, I use my galleries to show of some of my work and it can be a pain when I have like 10 or 15 pictures to upload. Just a thought! I'm working on the new version of Pleonast right now, but development has been held up a bit by the fact that I'm getting married in two weeks :) I just want you all to know that I definitely know it's really annoying when the site slows down to a crawl, and to thank you for using Pleonast. Im new and i dont know anything....  prov3110 If you know the friend's username, you might be able to find it by browsing the weblogs by name. Click on the "pleonast" link at the top left of the page, then click on "weblogs." Click the link to arrange them by name/username. At the bottom right of the list are three links - one for the next 50 blogs, one to skip 500 blogs ahead, and one to go to the last page of blogs. Depending on your friend's username, you can use those links to narrow down what "page" her name will be on. When you find it - click on her username and say hi!  two You can go to Google and type their name and "Pleonast", and if anyone has them linked by name you can find it.  stina i can't upload any images from any computer to use as my profile picture. it used to work just fine! now it says simply that an uploading error has occurred and gives me a link back to my own profile editing page. i'm not trying to upload gif's or bmp's - just small jpg's. can anyone help?  prov3110 Are you sure the pictures are not too big? They may not seem big on your computer, but try resizing them and then see if it will work to upload.  jessierose so I know this might be a silly question, but here goes. I've recently changed bank accounts. So how do I change pleo gold or paypal to automatically take the amount out of the new account and not t he old one?  prov3110 Change the information in your paypal account. There is a section there for what card/account is the default when paying through PayPal- that's what you need to change. My computer is very fast and any other site online goes fast except for Pleo. It takes forever for a page to load and I have cable. What about "friend names"? Will it show what I have named my friend "x" if I have my friends list turned off? I like being able to hide my friends list because I usually substitute their full name, since my memory is pathetic. I think it is a security thing, however, to not broadcast that user "x" is really "Doe, Jane". Having my "friends list" hidden solves part of the problem, but if people can go to x's blog and click on "friends names", and still see my "Doe, Jane", then that defeats the purpose. Finally, I guess that the ultimate feature regarding this issue would be for user "x" to have control saying that their user name could not be displayed by someone visiting a blog - only the blog's owner would see that friend's name.  kennon that is a good point that I hadn't thought of; right now it will still show up there, but I'll see if I can get that fixed soon.  turner120995 I did see that my "Doe, Jane" (to use the above example) is still visible if you go to "x" blog and click on "friend names". So, that seems less than ideal. Also, I was wondering why (when you click on "xx comments" to open up the comment section of an entry) does the comment section for other entries on that same page have to open. If the "hide comment" feature is going to be on a per entry basis, it would be nice if clicking on "xx comments" would only open up the comments for that one entry. I go to someone I know's blog and I see someone on their friends list that I didn't know was on Pleo and then see someone on their list and so on.
