Hello, Hello....
Well, it's Monday. This week is a busy one. Ashleigh has finals this week and will be driving home. I pray she has a safe trip. She will be home until after the first of the year which is really nice. I know it gets boring around home for her but she has some trips planned so woo hoo for her. :)
Allison is doing good. She has been able to get a lot of rest which I know is good for her body. The doctor had prescribed her some mid-strength compression stockings which are not what an 18 year old wants to wear but.....sometimes we have to do what we have to do. She has been good about wearing them. She went most of Sunday without them and when she put her leg up for me to see something on it last night I could tell the difference and she could too. They were slightly swollen, a bit darker than they had been in the morning and there was even a little 'pitting edema'. It was a good teaching time for me to show her what we had described. It wasn't horrible but just being able to 'see' the difference empowers her.
A big week for Aimee!!!!! She turns 16 next Tuesday but her party is this Friday. Our last "Sweet Sixteen". Bittersweet I suppose. Aimee is maturing into a very strong young woman and we couldn't be any more pleased. And it will be NICE for us to have another driver in the house. This year I had to drive her to school and such...first time in 3 years I had to drive - haha.
I just realized that this is when we have our last 'Sweet Sixteen' party and then our oldest will move from the teen years to her 20's soon too. WOW.... We are sooooo blessed.
Additonally I am helping my friend Cindie homeschool her neice, Kaylin, who has moved to Alabama. She is finishing her senior year. So that is exciting for me. Although I'm a little intimidated by Algebra 2 - haha. I know it will all work out. And I love homeschooling so this is perfect for me. Kaylin is a very hard worker and a precious, precious soul so I love it.
Well, I'm off to be busy....
Have a great week....
Love,
Jennifer
