A lot has been going on lately. First of all, today we went to look at German Shepard puppies, they were sooo cute. I got to hold them and play with them. I am so happy, we bought one of them, but we don't get to take it home for another week or two. We bought a girl, she is so cute. We are still trying to decide on a name for her, we are thinking of naming her Libby. The bad part though is that we have to put down my other dog, Sparky because he has skin cancer. Also, tomorrow Sarah Johnson and her family are coming over to my house. They came down to visit Aaron's parents Ruth and Greg, and so they are going to come see us. And, since my Nutcracker was Canceled because of the snow, we are thinking about rescheduling it for January 10th.
It snowed today and yesterday, so unfortunately yeterday we got snowed in and could not do the Nutcracker. Instead, we are going to perform the Nutcracker in January. Yeterday I went over to my friend from dance's house and we had a little party. It was really fun, even though it wasn't much of a party since it was a senior, a junior, two seventh graders, and a nine year old. We walked to an elementary school and played in the snow and had a snowball fight, then we went back to her house and had hot chocolate and watched movies. Then afterwards I spent the night at one of my other friends who was at our party's house. At her house, we watched movies, went sledding, played in the snow, and hung out with one of my other friends who is her neighbor. After I came home me and my family walked to a restaraunt and had dinner, it was very cold walking there at night. It has been a very fun weekend and snowday.
I am so nervous, the Nutcracker is this Sunday. It is at 2:00pm at Tigard High School and the tickets are $10.00, in case anyone wants to go. I am super excited but also extremely nervous. The bad thing is that my dad isn't going to be able to see it, but we'll video tape it for him so he can watch it. I have a lot of work to do this week and lot of really long rehearsals to go to in order to prepare fo the show, and some of the dances I just learned this week and don't remember all of them. I wish we still had a few weeks left to practice because the dances are very hard and I have over 25 minutes of choreography in the show. But enough worrying, I am very excited and I know I'll do my best and try my hardest. I am also very excited for Thursday because I get to take a ballet class from a professional dancer who is coming up from Los Angeles to be the Sugarplum Fairy in the show. We'll get to take class from her and also sit down and talk with her and ask questions.
Well, things are going pretty good lately, I am not sick anymore, my Nutcracker is in a week, and Christmas is almost here! This was a great week, especially because I only had to go to school for two days this week since I was sick. I hope everyone had a fantastic week! :)
