It has finally arrived, the final week of finals...
So ya, I'm pretty stoked about finishing school and to be a college graduate. Now it's time to find a job. I've been applying for several different positions, but no offers as of yet...I recently received a couple of calls from recruiters at First Tennessee Bank, so we'll see if I get an interview.
In the meantime I'll continue to work at Franklin Bank & Trust Company as the Compliance Assistant. I'll get to work more hours through the end of March. I'm very grateful for the President to give me this opportunity while I am out searching for permanent employment. The position I have is only a temp position and there is not an available position with benefits at the bank as of now for me.
But back to this week... I have a final in Business Strategy on Monday, a journal and essay final due for Personal Health, and a final in Econometrics on Friday. Not too shabby, I will have started my collegiate career at WKU with an Econ class, and thus it is only fitting for my final to be an Econ final. As of 12-13-08, ceteris paribus, I will have a BS in Business Economics.
So if you hadn't heard, there were reports of gunfire on WKU's campus today. Per the press release at 4 pm CST today, there are no confirmed gunshots ever fired on campus today. What is confirmed is that there was a fight between two individuals that stemmed off from a disagreement at a party or club this past weekend. One person was injured, possibly a broken arm, and has already been treated and released.
Pretty sad somebody couldn't tell the difference between the sound of a punch and a gunshot... On the brightside, there's some confidence in the responsiveness of the WKU system to warn about potential emergencies in efforts to keep students safe.
As you probably can tell, I am excited about fall break this year. I am going on an exciting into the unknown (from my perspective) into the land of cows, hurricanes, Bushes, oil companies, a star, and where everything is bigger...you guessed it- TEXAS. I am going with some pretty cool cats, so it's simply goin to be amazing. Beat that.
We no longer claim any Bushes, nor do we desire anymore at any point in the future. If you find yourself around Nacogdoches give me a call! (936)569-0217
Well, last night I placed membership at Eastside. I feel good about my decision, and look forward to this next semester being at Eastside.
I also went to West End's early service yesterday afternoon and listened to Thaxter Dickey. It was a good lesson, despite being from FC. haha, jk---it was in fact a really good lesson, so go read Gen 3 and look at the four questions addressed to Adam and Eve.
I was just trying to think of a nickname for you on my friend's list...and I was thinking about "all over the map" or "can't make up his mind"......in a joking way of course, but think about it...you went from west side to southside to eastside and west end somewhere in there and other ends and sides im sure..isn't that funny that so many churches name themselves based on their "side"??? hope you're doing well...and btw..WHY SO SERIOUS?
