Obviously, Bliss is an unusual name, and I have been mistakenly called all kinds of names--most commonly Liz or Phyllis. I've even been called Bless and Bluss. I can understand all of those names and see how someone might mistake Bliss for any of them. Today was a new one: Bliff. I'm not sure how Bliff came from Bliss, unless I'm more congested sounding than I think, but it is really growing on me.

I was cleaning up the kitchen after supper tonight, and the kids were sitting at the table picking candy off the gingerbread house we decorated. I looked up, and it looked like Drake's nose was bleeding. I went over to clean it, and I realized it was red dye from the tiny jawbreakers he was eating. Upon closer inspection, I realized there was a jawbreaker stuck in his nose! Of course, he wouldn't blow it out, so Michael got to perform a little, nostril extraction surgery. First try was with my tweezers. They were too big. But my Pampered Chef orange peeler was the perfect tool (in case any of you ever need an instrument for extracting foreign objects from your child's nose). They should market it as a multi-purpose tool. |
