Everything in life for me seems to be plugging along. Christmas shopping has been started. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I'm working a lot of 12 hour shifts, since many people are going on vacation lately.
I'm currently writing some new songs. For those interested, the titles are:
"Heartbroken"
"The Other Man Was Me"
"Black Days"
These will, hopefully, prove to be as good as any of my other material; which isn't saying much, but you get my drift.
I feel so tired, lately. All the time. I have been frequently falling asleep every time I sit down, it seems like. Well, at least it hasn't happened while I'm driving. Don't get the wrong idea...I don't stand up when I'm driving!
Anyway, how are all of you doing? I hope great. Well, I gotta go. Have a good day!
I wanted to let everyone know the latest news concerning my musical recordings.
Basically, I have two projects I'm working on.
Project #1: My album that I spent the last several months working on, will be coming out soon. My brother will be mixing the tracks that I recorded for my album. This album will be called "33 1/3" and will be released on March 2, 2009. That is, if everything goes to plan.
Project #2: I recorded a live EP. In fact, I have both video and audio of it. I'm going to release an EP of it on CD. Also, the video from it should be on youtube shortly. I'll keep ya'll posted on when it will be there.
Project #3: Two singles. One for the US market and one for overseas markets.
It all started about 4 years ago. I never noticed that the laundry didn't add up. Holly didn't notice it, either. But then, Steven wore flip-flops a lot. Come Sunday morning (every Sunday morning), we would be trying to find Steven a pair of socks. I just never imagined that the little incident could prove to be a big thing.
His socks were disappearing. Well, they did tell me that this house was haunted when I bought it. But that can't be it. I don't believe in ghosts.
Well, the couch sits with it's back against the wall and the window is directly in the center. However, the window is lower than the back of the couch. So, with the contour of the back side of the couch, one could, quite possibly, put something behind the couch.
Well, the couch had sat there for years. Really, the couch came with the house. Yes, our house was partially furnished when we bought it. But for whatever reason, one day we had to move the couch.
Lo, and behold! How many pairs of socks can you put behind a couch? How about at least 30 pairs of socks all piled up! There was no sign of him ever doing this. We never saw him do it. We didn't catch him doing it. And I thought it was hilarious!
Well, he eventually quit doing it. But I did check behind the couch now and then to make sure. Yes, I did find more socks there. But every time I checked, there were fewer and fewer, until there were no more. And I got a good hearty laugh every time!
Well, maybe we all go through that "stuff-the-socks-behind-the-couch" phase. Steven did. But he got over it. Justin may inherit that gene, but I'm 1up on him. I'll be looking for his sock stash when he gets older...
That's too funny! At least he didn't blame the ghosts! He sounds anti-sock-ish to me! My boys would rather go barefoot if I'd let them. They are forever taking off socks and shoes at church services, in the car, etc. That's funny though, because 30 socks is a lot of socks! :)
Yes, that's right. I heard not one, but two very important pieces of great news today. I'm behind the times, but I'm really thrilled about these two prospects.
First, the rock band Guns 'N' Roses have announced that their long-awaited studio album "Chinese Democracy" will be released on November 23, 2008. Unbelievable. It has been 15 years since the group has released an album of new studio material. I hope this was worth the wait. I know that "Smile" by Brian Wilson was. In fact, "Smile" is the only thing I can compare this to.
Second, the "Batman" TV series (1966-1968) may be coming to DVD very soon. This show has long been in limbo, since Fox owns the rights to the show, but Warner owns the rights to the characters. Well, Warner has filmed a movie called "The Watchmen," which Fox owns the rights to. Fox is now in a lawsuit with Warner over the watchmen. In trying to settle this, Fox said that Warner can have "The Watchmen" if Fox can have the rights to release "Batman" on DVD. Interesting, huh?
Well, I sure hope both of these instances pan out. I'm so excited about these!
(Note: Yes, this was worth postponing my "sock" story. The story will be coming soon. Stay tuned.)
Nickelodeon, in conjunction with Viacom, is currently working on a new CGI movie of none other than Mighty Mouse, the famous cartoon character and the most popular character from TerryToons. The movie will be out in about 2 years.
So, instead of 2010: The Year We Make Contact, we'll have:
