So its official I will be moving to DFW area in a month to start my job. It all worked out so perfectly I had an interview today and took the job as well today. I am so excited although I will miss everyone greatly in Austin especially my Christian family. I am so thankful to God for this working out so wonderfully. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Your mom told me this morning. congrats!! By the way, tell everyone in Austin the Retreat is set for Feb. 27-28 in Grapevine, so make plans!!! More details soon.
Guess what it was for? Its not even a cool violation if there were nerdy violations this one takes the cake. I got a citation for not having the correct address on my drivers license for a whopping 95$. The police officer was trying to help me out because I should have gotten four tickets. He pulled me over for one of my headlights being out and my insurance had expired ten days ago and I was driving without my glasses. I am glad he pulled me over (kind of) because I had no idea about my headlight and my insurance. My question is since it was not a moving violation will this citation go on my driving record? If so how long before it is on my record and I don't think I can do defensive driving? Any thoughts!
What a bummer! I bet if you call the number on the back of the ticket that the person there can tell you if it will go on your record or not. When I got a speeding ticket a couple of years ago I just had to pay extra to get it off my record and then go 90 days without another infraction. Good luck!
^that's called deferred adjudication, but it's only offered in some jurisdictions if there happens to be a nice judge. i'm pretty sure by state law a non-moving violation doesn't go on any kind of record as long as you pay the fine, but like beckyd said it wouldn't hurt to ask them. for moving violations you would normally have 3 options 1.) pay the fine and it goes on your record. 2.) opt for deferred adjudication (if it's offered) and pay a higher fine to keep the ticket off your record. there will be some probationary time, which could be 90 days or even a year. 3.) opt for a defensive driving class if you haven't taken it in the last 12 months and pay a fine to keep the ticket off your record. you would also have to pay for the class.
Sorry about that! Ask Jim, he seems to know a few things about tickets!!! Now that your moving again, doesn't seem to make sence to change it now! But there again, you have lived there for a few years too! :)
Tash and I want a retake! I got a cute one too! So glad you got to be here last weekend. And the rest of the gang! It made it that much more special for Chad. I love you,and looking forward to you getting closer!! :)
Josh and Amanda may not getting anything for Christmas now!! It is an electrical problem, not light bulb problem, and neither one of them are going to touch it! Thank you, I'm glad you think I'm intelligent! :)
I got to use my heater this morning.....it was awesome. I'm off to Dallas tomorrow for a few days of busy fun things to come. If anyone has any ideas on a new route to get up there as to avoid IH35 and avoid all the UT traffic let me know! As of now I plan to go up 281 and cut across to 377 in S'ville and hit Ft. Worth. I have the pleasure of teaching the 4 and 5 year olds at Church this quarter and we are going over studies in Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Ezra, and Nehemiah and I must say I have learned so much I have found myself just re-reading all the books as a whole and learning so much! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
