1. I can twitch my left eye ball on command, but not my right. I guess the synapses just aren't there.
2. I have melted plastic infused in my knee skin, it dripped, it boiled a bit, then calmed down. My fault from when I was 12 playing with fire.
3. When I eat chocolate, or anything sweet, I don't have a dependency on milk to drink. I could drink OJ and eat a snickers. mmmmmmm
4. I eat lemons like oranges. Hey its all citrus!
5. I hate bacon. The smell makes me sick.
6. I love cheese, and I will put it on just about anything. Cereal, you ask? Maybe a light dusting of parmesan would do the trick!
7. I'm pretty good at memorizing numbers, but horrible at math. When I was a sales guy for Grainger, I had several customers credit cards memorized, when they would purchase things, they'd tell me to just put it on the card. I also identify roads by number much better than names, all those letters get confusing and look like Wing Dings to me.
i talked to our HR guy at work and made sure your application got in. I also filled out an employee referral form, pretty much just saying "I am referring you". Hopefully something will work out.
Here I sit fixing problems, waiting for my test results on my latest script change for the computer image, missing my family alot. I need a new job. Anyone wanna get me another job?
I would love to find you a new job! Close to Bowling Green. Okay, so I have personal reasons for wanting you guys in BG! Hope you find something to make you happy and have more time with family. I understand how hard that can be when you can't be home with the wife and kids. sorry:(
"I think that it is a legal right that they [homosexuals] should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans."
Obama also told the crowd that his support of abortion (he voted against banning partial-birth abortion, and against notifying the parents of minors prior to their having an abortion) and his support of same-sex unions do not make him "less of a Christian."
I'm very scared of this upcoming election. Think about who you are voting for.
I heard about that quote, it really ticked me off. I guess we can all pick and choose what scriptures we want to live by and just label the other ones "obscure". Makes no sense!!
I obviously don't agree with him that Romans is obscure. But here is the first part of the quote for anyone interested: “I believe in civil unions that allow a same-sex couple to visit each other in a hospital or transfer property to each other, I don’t think it should be called marriage but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state."
Well... I don't agree with it fully. But it will never again be illegal to be homosexual. As far as candidates go, Obama is fairly moderate in this view. I certainly don't think they should have a "marriage", but even though I think it is sinful, I don't think the government should mandate how people live. If people want to live together and share property, etc, I may not agree with them but I don't think I should stop them (unless by conversion, which should always be our #1 goal). There are no good candidates on this front that actually have a shot at winning, so I choose mostly on issues that I think can be changed. (We had Reagan, Bush Sr, & Bush Jr, and not much on this front has changed). Obama says that the states should be in charge of deciding whether gay marriage is legal, and added: ""I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman." I am okay with that being the stance of our president.
Even McCain is not the ideal choice in this regard. In a series of questions by Stephanopolous, he has said that while he is against gay marriage he doesnt' think homosexuality is a sin, and he basically supports civil unions. He also stated that the legality of gay marriage should be decided by the states. http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/McCain_Homosexua lity_not_defect_or_sin_1120.html
So basically none of the candidates vary greatly on this issue, so I have decided not to base my decision on this issue.
29 miles away. actually that week is our meeting at church with my dad and my parents will be staying with us. Are you busy with work during the day or do you have a nice lunch break free? Maybe we can drive over and meet you for lunch one day since we won't be able to be in your area at supper time.
i agreee with rhonda---i am nervous about the whole election but things have to get better then they have from these last elections. Hopefully we only go up.
Micah was born on 2/21 at 4:44pm.
He weighed 9lbs 4oz and was 20" long.
Mom is doing well and thankful for a very quick delivery. She was induced around 1:20pm with patocin (sp?), the doctor then broke her water around 2pm. Very soon after, those nasty contractions came hard and fast with very little breaks in between and Rachel had to wait for the epidural over 45 minutes past her requesting since they had an emergency in the OR at the hospital. OUCH! OUCH! After about 5-6 good pushes he was ready to come out, and he wasn't even waiting for the doctor, she barely had time to get suited up before he came out!
Micah is passing all of his tests thus far, eating and sleeping well. God has blessed us again. Thank you all for your continued prayers for our family.
We did already order them for the game on Monday, May 26 (memorial day). I'll check and see where our tickets are and maybe y'all could still get seats near us. If so, maybe Jake/Jaime could come too. And, even if we weren't sitting together, maybe we could all go out afterwards? See how that date is for y'all. And congrats to all!!!
Rachel's Grandmother suffered a major stroke Friday morning. She's not expected to live more than another couple of days. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thankfully, all the family was together over the holidays in Bowling Green, so we came up to Louisville to be with her.
