Moving brings such major changes to anyone when moving a person's residence from one place to another. It is especially overwhelming if the number of years a person has been living on their own or with their own family and collected a stach of stuff....BUT, besides moving out of town 5 hours away; finding a new job; unpacking/weeding out/etc; this year brings with it the fact that not only do you have to change your driver's license address to your now current one, but you also must change your address to your new county and reregister to vote!
Most people I've talked to did not know that you could early vote online! lol Yes, this "modern" voting is on the net. BUT, one has a deadline to accomplish this feat! In addition to this deadline of early voting online, there is the mail in to change your county/precinct deadline of October 6th, 08! Most people don't know that either....then there is the if you have moved early vote out of your precinct but that cut off was this past friday, HALLOWEEN night by 7pm at a site downtown where you can wait inline anywhere from 45mins to 11/2hrs to early vote. If you miss any or all of these deadlines there might be something out there that they have kepted quiet, however bottomline if you haven't early voted and you live out of the precinct you are registered in, you will have to trek back to your old digs and vote there on Nov. 4th! lol So, happy travels and happy voting! ......and of course you all know why I know all of this....LOL. Yep, that's right. =)
Well, maybe at least you'll have a nice day for the trip. We took care of our change of address, but Payton hadn't updated his address on his TDL so his registration got kicked back to him. Luckily, as soon as he did the update, they mailed him a card. He's coming in from TAMU, very excited about his first presidential election vote.
that's the nice way to say it. i was in a bad mood and just needed to vent... i don't really care that much. sometimes people get on your nerves. that never happens to you?
It was really cute!! Gramma of course made a yummy dinner, cheesecake and a pecan pie for dessert :) Me, Trevor, Aaron, Lauralee and Scotty were all there. We asked him for advice and things he wishes he would have known at our age and everything he said was about Gramma. How important it is to choose the write spouse and that he doesn't have any regrets after he married her, they were all before he. It was sweet and a great memory. We even caught some of it on tape! :)
1) I was a new student my Junior Year of High School, and sitting in my advisor class when the class was to nominate and elect a Advisory President. Lon Bason who I did not know was sitting next to me, leaned over and asked me my name, raised his hand and nominated me. Later that class period, the majority of the class elected me advisory president. lol I wanted to kill him. lol
2) I can't stand to be grabbed by the elbow.
3) I have 4 published poems.
4) My Uncle was President of Union Carbide in Kenya, Africa before he retired.
5)Today is only Tuesday and I've already placed 6 people in specialty jobs, not just general labor jobs, I thank the Lord for helping me to do a great job at my job.
6) Italian, & Chinese food I know how to cook because I was in Italy & Japan and had an Italian and then a Chinese chef teach me
7)My dog died this past May 2008.
8)My boss really likes me or so he said, yesterday.
okay, so i can't stand to be grabbed by the wrist. i become instantly irked by that gesture. and now i'm really curious. how long did you spend in italy and japan?
I know... haha. What is going to happen is this. I just got hired as a CA in a Chiropractor's office. Starting next semester I'll be joining FAPA and not coaching the second half of classes on tuesday so I can make the meeting. I haven't had time to go to practice so that's kind of phased out, but i've still been working out.. so I'll compete.
Most people who know me, know I'm job hunting....but it seems of late that I've become a "mover"....not as in a "mover and a shaker"...lol, but a mover who aides a person in moving their stuff from their current abode into a new place!! Whew...
However, on the fun side, Sean came down and helped move my sister into her new gorgeous place and we then went to out to eat and to the movies as a reward for all our hard work! lol
Between all the work, if you know Sean, myself, Blake and the others you know we had a lot of fun even with all the work! lol
My mom and dad went home Sunday and got power restored Tuesday. Others in the area are putting it back together slowly.
You need a new post!:>) Tell me about your new job, houseplants, feather duster, whatever.
I wish to thank EACH AND EVERY PERSON who physically helped move me to San Antonio!! My family includes their thanks to each of you as well!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, awesome is not even close to how we think of each of you!!
I think every fiber of every muscle I have aches...lol, but the smile in my heart from the wonderful show of caring over rides the fatigue! For those who took time to stop and help someone who was in great need of aid without thought of payment or retribution of any type is such a glory to the Lord! Again, thank you for those who helped, and for those who honestly wanted to helped but couldn't, however said prayers, thank you!
I'm glad you're here, and believe me I feel your pain. We closed on this house on Feb. 22 and didn't complete the move until May 15 since Brian and Payton were leasing back the old one. So every weekend it was drive to "home" work on cleaning, repair, pack, whatever, wash my clothes for the week plus shovel out from my guys...you get the picture. I can't wait to see you!
Hi. We are going to be in a meeting for a few days. I still wish we could see you sometime. Are you able to see Emmadale. I hope so. I will always have such fond memories of everyone in Rosenberg.
Since I'm moving most likely down to San Antonio...I'm camping out in the middle of my Mom's livingroom..lol Plus, I'm doing the "learning where things are", as I drive to apply for different jobs, etc. It is an Adventure, sort of like Alice in Wonderland, only not...LOL. Prayers for me, please!
Can you give me your info? I would love to see you so much. I don't know how to contact you without putting all our information out to the public, so I may have to go gold and be able to make private comments.
yup that sounds like a summary to me. im alright. glad to be out of school for now. my mom is doing much better! she's flying to florida soon to stay with her sister and shes looking forward to it.
thank you for your comments! There were so many other pictures that Alex put up that document and captured the love and joy of our relationship. :-) Perhaps he will show you all some day? :-D
