Everyone is doing well. I am sure that yall had heard that Elonese McClave had passed away. Is your mom settling in okay? We sure do miss her. You take care!
The offer was accepted and I am about to make my first home purchase! By the way, for those who asked, I'm not in Bowling Green...I'm still in Alabama and the plan is to move my sweet little mom down here from Kentucky to live with me! We are about to put her house on the market and get things ready for the big move! I've been diligently praying about many decisions lately and now things seem to be falling right into place!
Love the house! About Brayden and the pulpit, yeah, there's just something about hearing the phrase "Somebody has junk in their trunk" that I'm sure would encourage Christians everywhere!!!
We will hate to see Valeria move but I totally understand. Since my mom died, I have been trying to get my dad to move to BG so that I can take care of him.....I hope everything continues to work out for you!
Know you are ejoying your new space. Did your Mom move in? Does she go to worship services with you? I'm glad you were able to go to Mexico. It is eye-opening and encouraging. I fell in love with those humble, hard-working people.
What a lovely house, that's sooo exciting, you'll love getting it all set up.
She told me that your mom was moving in with you, my mamaw is moving in with my parents as well - so I understand that adjustment BUT I know the company and help will be nice for your mom!
hey ms. connie i just wanted to let u know that i am going to have surgery at the this place on hues road that may not help alot but thats all momma and i know haha
Wow! I don't even know where to begin to describe my trip. It was such an eye opening, humbling experience and definitely encouraging. This was my first trip out of the US and I wanted to travel somewhere to meet Christians who appreciate what they have...physically and spiritually. I definitely had a chance to see that first hand! The visit to Chiapas was truly an experience I'll never forget!
One night this week we had a ladies' class at their house and after the class, Sheila was taking a lady and her two daughters home to their one-room house. I rode with them and when we got there, Lupita wanted to me come in because she had something she wanted to give me. She had several pieces of material that she has embroidered designs on and she wanted me to pick out one and also to bring one back to my mom. The girls were cutting flowers out of their garden to give to me and to Sheila and then the girls wanted me to take one of their mangos. I know this may not sound like a lot but I don't ever remember feeling so showered with gifts. It was so humbling to see people who have so little wanting to give so much. They weren't giving me anything because I needed it...they were giving because they obviously love to give! I began thinking about what we give to God. We don't give to God because He needs anything, we should give because we love God and because we love to give.
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to go to a wedding in the jungle which was a 4-hour drive from San Cristobal. It was definitely an interesting experience and had the chance to meet so many Christians! If you want to see more pictures of the wedding, she posted most of the same pics that I took too.
On Thursday Sheila & I went on a boat ride through the canyon! It was beautiful but it's impossible to truly capture that with pictures. We saw a crocodile and an iguana!
It was such a fantastic week and I'm so thankful for that experience! Jeb & Sheila are doing so much good for the Lord and the Christians there are so blessed to have them! I'm so thankful that Jeb & Sheila are making the sacrifice to be there and it's such a great experience for their kids. I truly enjoyed being with all of them! Will, Sarah and Molly are definitely precious young people!
There is so much more to tell but I can't even put it into words!
Connie Fran, I hope you have a great Birfday. Wish you could be here so we could celebrate the greatest day ever. The day my best friend was born. This is truly a special day and I hope everyone you were with away from home made you feel special. You deserve the best Frannie. I have never known anyone with such a wonderful, sincere heart. You are so genuine and giving. So many have been blessed to have had you in their lives. If only briefly or long standing friendships. You touch so many by your Godly example. I will never forget not long after I met you, you asked me how my spiritual life was. I have NEVER had anyone ask me that before or since. I knew right then you cared about my soul and others. What a blessing God has given me in my precious friend. God knows what and when we need people in our lives and as always His timing was perfect. Again, Happy Birthday my dear friend. Love you Lots....Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Jn 15:13.
Hey! You are always welcome to come. we love having you! we don't have Guitar Hero, just sport-type games. Next time you come we definitely need to have a game night!
