Well the holidays are over! I haven't had time to blog in a long time, on either blog, so I thought I would sit down and blog!
Things are going really well for us. Aaron's job is wonderful and luckily is not being effected by the economic problems, which is a blessing since he works in the Financial world. We thank the Lord for the blessing of Aaron's job!
Caroline is growing like a weed and learning so much all the time! She is now a full time walker, and is on the move. We have trouble getting her to want to sit down for dinner every night. Sometimes I feel like it's all I can do to get her to eat before she's reaching to get down! She's all over the house, which makes me so thankful for baby proofing! :) Our days are fast and busy, but wonderful.
Caroline will now tell you what the duck says (her Granny taught her!) and can participate in the song "The Wise Man Built his House Upon the Rock." She's just getting so big and starting to communicate which is so much fun to watch. We're working on what the cow says next. :)
I'm reading a lot lately (YAY!!!), because we no longer have cable TV. That's right, Aaron and I decided to give up cable in 2009. At first we decided to because we thought we watched too much TV, then Aaron looked at how much of a dent we spent in our budget each month on just TV or TV related things (TiVo) so now we're happily saving money and not watching too much TV either. It's win-win. We are considering getting the digital box so we can get local channels, but we're currently undecided about that. We've got the coupon ordered, just in case. We haven't been planning to get one, but we decided to order the coupon while they're still available. We are hoping that we won't miss TV and we'll keep it off indefinately. I'll keep you posted! :)
2009 isn't going to be as busy as 2008, for which we are thankful. We have no current trips or anything offically planned, but we are thinking of taking a trip to California this summer. We'll see.
Caroline has a check up tomorrow in Birmingham with her Pediatric Plastic Surgeon. Last check up he said she had recovered amazingly well so we're hoping for another good report!
Well, I hope you're all well and that you had a nice holiday! I'd love to hear what y'all are up to! Until next time!
Oh we'd love to get rid of our cable, but unfortunately we signed to one year so we have to keep it or pay lots of $$ to cancel. Good for you guys! I'm so glad Caroline's last appointment went so great, let us know about this next one!
Hope Caroline's appt. went well. I just wanted to know so I could get Caroline's x'mas present to her. Aunt Sharon said she'd probably see y'all for lunch or something and would bring it to you. Hope we can see y'all sometime soon.
Writing down resolutions is supposed to help you achieve them, so I will write mine here for the world to know. I want to start walking at least 5 days a week, and on at least one of those days letting Caroline play for a while at our neighborhood park. :) I figure the walking will be good for me and I know she'll love the park!
My biggest resolution is to better organize my stitching business. Then I have other 'daily routine' changes for me and the kids to include some schooling for Conner.
This will be the last blog I post for public viewing. I googled courtcraig and my blog was the first several items on that list...which I wasn't too thrilled about. So, if you're not on my friends list and would like to be, please let me know.
Hey Courtney! It's Brandi (Barnes). It's been a long time. Gover said that you are pregnant...congrats!! I hope everything is going well. She sent me your blog. I would love to be in your friend list to keep up with you. Brandi
Hi Courtney! Yes, of course I remember you, and Iknew that she was getting those for you :). I'm so glad you liked them! Thanks for letting me know! That's a nice boost of confidence ;) Best of luck with your birth! I'll be checking in to see when you have her!
Thank you! Did you go to FC? If so, when? My husband went there, but I didn't have the opportunity. I stayed in AZ and married Kyle, instead. Nice to meet you! Love you name by the way! :)
hey courtney, good to see you on here too! Your daughter is lovely! Are you enjoying motherhood?? Definitely add me to your friends list so I can keep up with your photos!
Yeah...I noticed that two other babies were born the same day as my son! If you wouldn't mind, I would love to be added to your friends list to see how close your daughter and my son are in development. She sure is a cutie! I think you may have gone to school with my sister, Ashley (Pope) Metcalf, also. So many connections! Thanks for the comment!
I'm twelve weeks today! This is a pretty big milestone in pregnancy and I'm thrilled! My morning sickness has been much easier to handle this week too, I've just been a bit nauseous, so that's good!
We're planning a little mini trip in a few weeks. We figure it will be the last trip for us before baby comes that doesn't involve visiting family. We're using Aaron's parent's timeshare and going to Kissimmee, FL for 3 nights. I'm really excited! We wanted to go to the beach, but we waited too long to try and book it, so our locations were pretty limited. It looks like a really great resort though, and I plan on getting a tan!
I think I finally found someone here in Dothan to cut my hair. I've been looking for what, 2 years now? I think I'm just picky. I haven't been to this guy before, but he cuts two of my friends hair and I always think it looks great when they get it done, so I'm optimistic that this will work for me! I'm going on May 10th...the day before I turn 25!
Go congratulate my hubby for getting straight A's his first semester in the MBA program! Let's all hope the baby gets his brains! :) Congrats babe, I knew you could do it and I love you!
I didn't know you were having a family shower in Knoxville. Micah and I had thought about doing that for you. We are always the last to know everything! :P
I hope you have a great time on your trip! I'm still very tired but I seem to be having some days when the nausea is better so that's good. Good luck with your haircut. I haven't gotten one in Norway yet!
12 weeks IS a big milestone! Congratulations! I remember when we did lots of things when I was expecting Silas and saying "this will be the last time we ______________ before the baby comes." It's kind of neat to think about!
Congrats on hitting 12 weeks! I'm sure that you'll begin feeling much better soon. And have a great time in Florida! Drew and I are coming down to the beach (Seaside) in August so maybe we can see you on our way down!
Courtney am I on your friends list after you went private..becasue all I see is a post from 5/1/07...Yeah I was thinking you an AC's anniversary was coming up soon....congrats on 5 years! It's the 22nd right?
