life is good. realizing more and more how truly blessed i am.
joel who jim stayed with this summer is staying with us this weekend along with meg (jim's sister), andy, and the kids. good times.
two days of school left until break. we're having a gingerbread house competition for the two days. stinks that we have to go to school up until the holidays...but at least we'll have fun.
tuesday night jim and i are driving up to pa to see my family which i'm so looking forward to. i love roadtrips and i havn't seen my family since july 4th. then the following monday we're going to chicago for rachel and josh's wedding. yes. it's going to be a good break.
call me sometime. i'd love to hear from you. |

So...we don't have internet. (Yet, hopefully). That's why I never seem to update.
Life is good. I'm truly blessed. Still trying to get the house live-able...even though it's been three months (to the day) since Jim and I got married. It's getting there though.
I, Lord willing, due to wonderful Jim, am hopefully getting a 1999 Jeep Wrangler on Monday. Needless to say, I'm excited.
I'm no longer working at the school, but I'm still going to school, and I'm looking for a job somewhere in the area...hopefully to work late evening shifts.
In the next couple of weeks, other than what I make at school, I'm making 5 pies, a cake, a bunch of rolls/biscuits/croissants, and sweet potatos for people. :-D
The truck broke...again. I don't think it likes me. But, on a brighter note, I learned how to replace a battery and jump start a car.
I miss so many of you so much. I still have my phone if you want to call. :-) |

6:00am...gets up after 2nd alarm goes off.
7:00am-11am/12pm...works in the school storeroom (basically i move 50 lb bags of veggies and make carts for classes. hooray for muscles...it's like getting paid to go to the gym. :-P)
12:30-5:30pm...learn to make bunches of pastries and breads at school. (i was talking about how i enjoy what i do at church last night, and a man said that if you find the right job, you never work a day in your life.)
6:15pm...get home, take a mucho needed shower, eat, chores, school work, and time with jim. :-)
10pm...bedtime.
i've never been so worn out by the end of the day, but also never so happy to be doing what i've come to love. and whatever stress i deal with at work and school, jim always seems to make it better.
"I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainty that just to be alive is a grand thing." ~Agatha Christie |

"We can rest contentedly in our sins and in our stupidities, and anyone who has watched gluttons shoveling down the most exquisite foods as if they did not know what they were eating will admit that we can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world." ~C.S. Lewis |
