Jeff and I have been contenplating becoming "tree huggers" for some time now. This past weekend we decided to become initiated into the Tree Huggers Club. Thanks to Amy and my mom for witnessing and documenting us turning over a new leaf.
Tonight I went to Kroger for my weekly shopping trip. I realized how many trees I used in the process of saving 82.36% from coupons (somewhere around the ballpark of 32 paper coupons), about four feet of receipt tape, and 10 plastic sacks (which are not biodegradable).
Sadly, I'll be surrendering my membership card to the Tree Huggers Club pursuant to Paragraph III, Subsection F, of the Club By Laws which states something to the effect of member shall employ practices that reduce unnecessary waste of natural resources. Frankly, I'd rather save the money!
In other news I saved A LOT of money tonight, check out GamingTheSystem to see how you, too, can save A LOT of money!
Jeff cooked an awesome meal the other night while my mom was in town. It was called Tilapia Fra Diavio (spicy tomato sauce), check out The Fortunate Foodie so you can prepare this meal too. Sounds fancy huh? Actually, it was easy to make!
