Our 3 year old little boy has quieted down enough to start learning letters.
I just got the chance to have "school" with another Mother and her 3 year old.
I'm so excited to start working even more with him. I'm going to be doing the academic type stuff, and she's going to do some crafty stuff.
I'm thinking of doing letter of the week, with just coloring/gluing/cutting and reading books.
I know I'll make a resource list with daily activity lists to improve fine motor skills - play doh, stringing, beading, etc.
I'm so excited to get back in the groove - just had to share!
I think I'm going to "pretest" the other child - and start where I was already with my son - letter F.
*Our first letter:
F is for Fish, Fingers, Feathers, and Fishers of Men. We'll be reading the "Letter F Sound Box" book, plus some of the Rainbox fish books, and a video about fish. I want to do a letter F texture letter, adding picturs of fish, feathers, macaroni noodles, etc. I think I want to make a Rainbow Fish, too.
I'm not feeling well...but I do have the blessing to start trying some new herbal tea my husband got me.
There's nothing like a nice hot cup of tea to relax you.
I hope you are having a great day!
Our kid's are going crazy with our oldest home from school. I think she'll really enjoy going back. Only to train them to get along better! We work and work at it, but, alas, they still fuss at each other.
We're doing Our Spiritual Heritage in the elementary school classes, Baby's Journey through the Bible in the baby class, and some homegrown material in the 3 & 4 year old class. I'm excited! :)
Isn't fussing what siblings are supposed to do? I wouldn't know from experience (since I'm an only child), but that's what I've heard. It will make them appreciate each other more when they're older.
