With Oklahoma's win tonight over Missouri 62-21, my alma mater is heading to Miami for the National Championship against Florida. If Sam Bradford wins the Heisman like I feel he may, what a matchup that will be against two Heisman winners and also the most prolific offense in the history of the NCAA (OU passed Hawaii's 2006 record by almost 50 points... in one less game). Going to be fun! :-) |

Play Auditorium if you haven't before. If you like mysterious puzzle games, pretty lights and mesmerizing music, this game is for you. :-)
One of their screenshots; mine are much prettier but I don't want to spoil your fun in trying it yourself.

I'd like to introduce a friend of mine who holds a special place in my heart. His name is Joeben Jacobo, a young and faithful preacher of the gospel in the northern and eastern end of the island of Luzon, Philippines. He and his wife, Miriam, are tireless workers for the Lord there in that region. Joeben preaches at two different congregations on Sundays, his wife is active in teaching not only her children (Wendell and Wendy) but also those of the congregations they are working within. In addition, Joeben is always traveling (he does not own his own vehicle) preaching and teaching in cities and villages throughout Luzon as well as flying to smaller islands and regularly writing letters to me to rejoice in the saving of many souls in those locations.
Though not as much as I would like, I have been sending him support for the past couple of years as he has struggled with the brethren there through every calamity from drought to typhoon, and the sickness of his sister and others closely related to him. Yet through all, he has never lost heart and has continued to be a huge source of strength to me, even a world away. Every email, he lets me know how many souls were saved in recent efforts... five new Christians according to his last email.
He rarely asks for any assistance but in his most recent letter, he writes: "Our meetinghouse at Tupang church is not yet finish! We badly need P25,000.00($550.00) so that we will finish this! It's took a long time to have this amount because all of our brethren here are very poor, no job, sickly and no other source of income. Some are working in the farm of others just to get small for their foods! We pray that God will provide in the near future so that we will continue to finish our meetinghouse!"
$550 is not a whole lot of money but it is more than I have to be able to help individually in this matter. If anyone wishes to help in any small way, let me know and I can send you his contact information. The easiest, safest and cheapest way I've found to send money is via MoneyGram at WalMart. May God continue to bless our efforts on His behalf both here and around the world. |

Belmar Golf Course in Norman/Moore, OK (I'm not sure which) is, as I learned today, the place that Toby Keith can often be seen doing a round of 18. As it turned out, he was in the group that teed off right behind my group. As the day of golf was rather slow, we got bunched up a couple of times so we often found ourselves playing on the same hole. I'm not one to get all googly-eyed about being near celebrities, but I guess it was kind of cool. |

It was a blowout from the kickoff, but it was still a blast!
This pic was taken late in the 4th quarter when most of the stadium was already cleared out and OU was ahead 62-21. It was the 66th straight home sellout for OU and for the first half, over 85,000 crazy fans all in red were screaming me deaf. |
