Back from vacation 11-10-08 07:08am CST
The vacation time was very nice. We all got to see family and friends and enjoy a beautiful wedding.

Emma rode on a cow and horse and fed some goats. She loved it. Haley got on the cow too. I think she liked it. :)

I hope to post something more on my next entry, but for now it's time for me to play catch up at work.

Everyone have a wonderful week!

Monday Ramblings 10-13-08 06:20am CST
First, I want to thanks all of those who commented on my last blog. I knew some of you read my blog, but it is nice to know that there are others who read it. For those, who read my blog but didn't comment...that's ok. I'm glad you stop by.

The weekend was nice. Crystal, the girls, and I went and did a bit of shopping. Emma got a lot of new fall/winter clothes so that's nice.
The rest of the weekend was quite relaxing.

A new thing I'm doing with Emma is talking with her on the phone. You see, Emma has a toy cell phone and she calls all sorts of people and has these mock conversations with them. They do seem pretty real because she'll pause as if she's listening to someone talking to her and then respond back. It's pretty cool to watch. Anyway, Crystal and I have her talk to her Grandmarmee and Mama G, but I have not really tried talking to her. So on Friday I had Crystal put Emma on the phone and sure enough, we had a nice little conversation. She was telling me where her dolls were at and what she wanted to eat for lunch. I asked her some questions and she answered them quite well. That phone convo was one great thing that helped make my Friday great! I may have to make it a daily thing when I'm in the office to talk with her.

Emma is also starting to sing when we are assembled at the building when we are all singing. She sings pretty loud, but it is so awesome to see that she is trying to sing like everyone else. She holds up the song book and starts singing.

I guess that'll do for now. It seems as if this post is an Emma post, which is fine by me.

With a fantastic wife and two awesome kids, I foresee a great week! I hope your week is great too!
southernpoet87That's so cute! Even though Brea can't talk yet, sometimes she will put the phone to her ear and I'll talk to her and she coos back. It totally makes my week go better :)
marmeeI love you and your family! Happy week, son! :)
laughing_eyes:) Emma is getting so big! :)
hooseThanks for the response. I went gold to fix the problem. :-)
towelheadI love to hear little children sing when we worship our God in song. :) It makes me smile.
julesJeremy and Jessica Sweets' daughter sings at church too! She imitates some of the words (vocabulary's not *quite* that big yet!) and does a good job. Give Emma a hug for me!

I feel the need to post even though I'm not sure what to write. 09-29-08 06:11am CST
That title sums it up for me. There's all sorts of things in my head, but when it comes to writing them down, either I don't remember what I want to say when I click on "Add Entry", or I'm not sure I want to put it up on pleonast. I do feel like the few people that pass by my blog should get some "meat" in them.

Which now that I have just written that above statement makes me ask myself, who does read my blog? I do see some of the same people reading it with the few comments I get, so I know a few people pass by, but since I don't usually have a lot to offer anyone, I don't get a vast amount of comments from people.

So with that I'd like to know (if you reading this are willing) who reads my blog. I saw this done by some people before asking for the lurkers to comment so they know that people are reading or passing by and I think this sounds like a fun idea.

Also, for those who only read the beginning and ends of blogs...here's the skinny of what this blog is about. Note, the last paragraph is right below.

If you visit my blog whether you read all of the content or not, please let me know via a comment. For those lurkers, like my wonderful mother, who do not have a pleonast account, I guess I won't see a comment from you all. :) If enough people actually come visit my blog, then I may just want to give you all something more worth reading.

Have a wonderful week!
sam_eduI'll even be the first to comment since I do end up reading my own blogs. :)
crystalizedI read your blogs! ;)
marmee*raises hand* I read your blogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who would'a guessed it???!!!! Love you!
mommarnI stop by and read your blog, your wife's and Marmee's. You have a lovely family. I purchased your wife's book and my daughter has read it too. It was well worth reading. Wishing you blessings.
melissakaeI read your blog every time you post. :-)

I often have the problem of WANTING to blog but not feeling like I have much worth saying...
ex_patI read it. It helps me stay connected to my Alief Family. Thanks!
alexpresent.
melissakaeOH! Speaking of movies, Daniel and I went to see "Fireproof" last night. AWESOME movie. There are some "doctrinal" issues (like salvation without baptism, etc) but the movie was totally worth seeing.
melissakaeYeah, beyond those few shows like "The Office" and "CSI" I don't watch TV. I don't have time for it! And since I've decided that both these shows are immoral, I guess I now don't watch ANY tv, either.

Occasionally I'll watch the news or the presidential debate (blech) but that's about it.
melissakaeyou know what was amazing to me? A movie that was so obviously religious (even in previews) drew a PACKED theater. It was encouraging to see.
