Hey ALL...so the wedding plans have been coming along WONDERFULLY... except that the wedding dress shop ladies said "THE DRESS" won't be coming in until early Jan..when before it was mid Dec..so I'm a little nervous about that.
But I've got my wedding shoes..when it does finally come in!! YIPPEE!!
So..I'm trying to run through my list of "to do's" for this BIG event (that is inching closer and closer..yippee!)..and I was wondering..what was something that you didn't think about until "oh dear! I forgot about that" came to your mind?! Ladies? What was something that you would recommend that I think about now that I probably would have overlooked????
I was looking at my 'list' and the only thing I have left is finding someone to cut the wedding cake (my cake lady isn't going to do it)...help!? Ideas?
In other news...man I miss Ross. He is out of town..and it just makes me so sad..and you can DEFINITELY tell a difference in my mood! Poor kids..they get the brunt of it too! oh well ;-)
Maybe have a friend make an emergency kit and have her bring it early before the wedding. You know I'm not married BUT I've been in ALOT of weddings!
This might be a little much but here are some ideas:
Sewing Kit, including safety pins and small scissors
Clear nail polish (helpful for stocking runs)
Nail file
Nail polish in the bride's shade
Makeup (you'll probably have this there anyway!)
Straws (for drinking without messing up lipstick
Extra stockings
Hairspray
Brush and comb
Bobbypins and hair elastics
Hairdryer
Static-cling spray
Tissues
Handkerchiefs
Lint brush
Earring backs
Iron
Baby powder (also useful for getting out last-minute spills on a white dress)
Eye-drops (look for redness reducing)
Contact lens solution
Acid relief
Smelling salts
Antacid
Mints
Tampons and pads
Headache medicine (bring two different kinds in case one of the bridal party is allergic)
Band-Aids
....the list could go on.
make sure you have a list of all the photos you want taken. we didn't do that and ended up without photos of us and my family. :( i have photos with me and my family but none with aaron and my family together!
Pretty much let my step mom and aunt go to the planning with mine. The only (AND MAJOR) thing forgotten, was a videographer. Fortunately, we have a great friend who did a beautiful job! I'm sure you'll think of everything!
Just ask someone to cut the cake! There are plenty of women we know who like to have something to keep them busy and would love to help. If you don't ask, I'll find someone for you! :) Just a friendly threat from your wedding planner.
Dad & I thought it was super cool. I think he should put out a single with that or get on Jay Leno or something. He's fab!! YOU WERE AMAZING as Cinderella! The pics were absolutely precious & I can just see the "awe" in those little girl's eyes. You should post the pics here too for those not on facebook. Simply Darling!!!!
It's probably really nerdy of me to know this - but that guy did not write nor perform that song. He simply lip-synced it and edited it together. Which is still impressive, but another group of guys actually wrote and performed the song.
I am not the authority, but I would think your first option would be the best...you write something to him on his ring (and vice versa). Probably not a right or wrong way...just whatever you both agree upon.
we engraved ours with a message to the wearer from the each other. :) it's also handy to put the date! ;)
mmm jamba juice. a smoothie sounds really good!
I engraved Kenny's ring. It was a surprise. My band isn't engravable. He used to tell me he "adored me" before he said he loved me. So, it became our thing. In his ring I put, "I adore you."
Awww....the ring engraving sounds romantic. You should def write something on HIS ring and he should write something to you on YOUR ring. He's giving you the ring so it should contain HIS words of love to you as well...and you do the same on his ring.
I gotta say I LOVE days when it rains...it makes the day so calm and happy! I know what you're thinking a rainy day makes you happy? Yes!!! When I grew up in Colorado..it didn't rain a whole lot so when it did I remember it smelling so good and everything being so fresh and green!!! And after living in FL and seeing how green the trees and leaves would be ..it just made me think: Goodness God is so Good!!!! So Rainy days are a blessing from God!!!!
Every day is a blessing from God and every season of life. We've had the most awesome Fall here. This is the first year that we have had no snow. Our leaves got to play out their brillance to the very end. Its been wonderful.
Oh I would love too! What time are you coming Friday? I figured you are coming after work right? We could go then or Saturday after the party...either one! I DO remember shopping...wow that seems like forever ago!
Yes..Yes...Yes I was going to check with you today, but you beat me to it:) Are you still good to come? Is so do you think you will come Friday night? How bout Ross!!!? Keep me posted and thanks again for helping out. I can't wait to see you!
